Chris Renaldi, Principal

Before Diesel, Chris was Creative Director and founder of Blastoff Design LLC and has directed design for many clients throughout his career, including the Learning company, Broderbund, and Whamo Toys. Chris understands how to apply the best of technologies to every design solution . . . He constantly evolves Diesel by being the point man for new and improved technological design.

Up and beyond his work for Diesel Design, Renaldi has a liking for the photography world, dogs, travel and board sports!

Jeffrey Harkness, Principal

"We focus on solving our clients' problems, period. We do not need to please shareholders or analysts. It's only about excellent work," says Jeffrey Harkness, co-founder of Diesel Design. Before Diesel, Harkness was Creative Director for Lucid Design in San Francisco. He has directed design for many clients throughout his career, including Macromedia, Addis Design Group, Autodesk, and Working Assets. Harkness holds a BA from Wesleyan University, with additional coursework at the California College of Arts and Crafts.

In addition to his duties at Diesel Design, Harkness is also on the board of directors for Southern Exposure Art Gallery in San Francisco. His diverse outside interests include black/white photography, conservation, dogs, welding, and islands.

Alan Patten, Principal

"A cynic knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing," opines Alan Patten. A deep thinking strategist, Alan prides himself on analyzing a client's situation, industry, competition and market. Before Diesel, Alan held senior creative positions at Bozell Worldwide Advertising and America Online, where he helped build new brands like LookSmart and Insweb, in addition to creating award-winning campaigns for Siemens, Electronic Arts, and the SF AIDS Emergency Fund. Alan is adept at working in Print, Online and Broadcast media.

In his spare time, Alan's interests include: Blues guitar, classic architecture, cooking and strong coffee.
